The Law Programme is for individuals who want to procure an LLB degree of international standing, for those who wish to develop a critical awareness of the common law legal tradition and be able to apply analytical and problem-solving skills in a range of legal and non-legal settings. It will also benefit students or professionals who would like to enhance key skills of communication, information literacy, analysis and argument.
One of the Key features of the UOL international law programme is flexibility. It enables the students to make independent choices as to the length and duration of their study programme. It also depends on the entry route they choose.
There are three entry routes into the LLB programme:
Duration for this entry route is a minimum of three and a maximum of eight years. Standard Entry LLB is further sub divided into the Qualifying Law Degree route and Non Qualifying Law Degree route. This degree is suitable for those at undergraduate level who meet the general entrance requirements. It requires study of 12 modules. For more information see:
It requires a minimum of two and a maximum of eight years duration. Graduate Entry route is further categorized into Qualifying Law degree route and Non Qualifying Degree route. This entry route is suitable for those at graduate level with a degree from an institution acceptable to the University and it requires study of 9 modules.
The duration is a minimum of one year and a maximum of five years. Students who clear all four modules have the option to transfer directly into the second year of the Law Programme. Currently L’ecole is the only registered centre in Karachi licensed to teach CertHE Common Law/Diploma In Law.
